When fashion designer Celeste Massullo wanted to spice up her toilet, her distaste for traditional rug-like covers led her to create Toilet Tattoos â“ removable, reusable and clean-wiping toilet covers in designs from leopard print to fleur-de-lis.
"I wanted to decorate my toilet in a creative, modern and clean way, but soon realized that toilet décor products had not changed for decades," Massullo said.
The covers also come in holiday themes, as well as in designs featuring potty-training reward charts. Massullo's company can also reproduce original photos or paintings onto a Toilet Tattoo. Made of electrostatic vinyl film, the designs can be removed and reused without harming the toilet lid.
"Of all the things I have ever created, Toilet Tattoos has been the most fun," the designer said. "It is something everyone can use and afford. My goal is that every household in American will have at least one. After all, it is the only way to crown your throne!"
