New survey assesses homeowner desires: top-notch kitchen ranks highest

The KILZ brand's just released its 2008 Roller Report, assessing homeowner�s wants and needs when it comes to their homes.
Some interesting figures were released.
*Homebuyers rate kitchen design as the most important factor when considering a new home. Here�s the breakdown of top factors:
-Kitchen design (82 percent)
-Curb appeal (75 percent)
-Interior design (72 percent)
-Eco-friendly elements (45 percent)
*Ten percent of homeowners plan to sell their home in the next year.
*Seventy-five percent of homeowners planning to stay in their current residence will complete a renovation within the next year, 46 percent of which will be an interior paint project. Seventy-six percent of homeowners most often choose clean, welcoming shades of mineral tones, neutrals and pales in their homes
-25 percent plan a complete kitchen or bathroom overhaul
-25 percent plan to apply new exterior paint
-17 percent plan eco-upgrades like adding efficient appliances or light bulbs
-16 percent plan to overhaul their basement
