A Frame Of Mind For A Lifetime

Some things that you want to last forever just can't survive if stuffed in the back of your sock drawer. According to the Art & Framing Council, here are 10 items you should always get framed before time, carelessness and the unexpected take their toll

1. College diploma

You spent a fortune on an education, so make it look like a million bucks.

2. Original art and limited edition prints

Just because it's not a Picasso doesn't mean it won't be the equivalent someday.

3. Family portraits

Future generations will remember you by these delicate images. So why wait until you look jaundiced before taking care of them?

4. Art you buy on your travels

Vacation memorabilia will keep your family memories alive and add a regional flair to your walls.

5. Your favorite kids drawings

Children are uninhibited artistic geniuses – and their work will be a future, heartwarming reminder of a more innocent time.

6. Collections (stamps, coins, miniatures, etc.)

Often worth their weight in gold, your collections will be protected in frames and finally worth showing off to all of your friends and relatives.

7. Photographs of great moments (sports, vacations, etc.)

Very rarely do you get to celebrate those times when life seemed perfect. Put those moments in frames and feel inspired forever.

8. Bridal portrait/mementos

Invitations, a veil, flowers, Polaroids – keep every second of your special day alive by creating custom collections perfect for framing.

9. Baby portraits/mementos

They grow up so fast, but you can keep them young forever by framing dance costumes, bibs or anything else special to your tot.

10. Newspaper or magazine clippings about family members

History is key to extending your family tree. Why not preserve the accomplishments of your brood for future family members to cherish?
